Marketing Elements has been on a break

This break has been a bit longer than I expected. Back in October, I had two Mac’s die within a week. I had to “make it work.” That meant to get a Chromebook. Which was very interesting, but I plan a full post on that very soon.

My workflow was off and the Chromebook couldn’t do all I needed to do. On top of that, there have been server issues with Marketing Elements. I have several sites on the same server and this was the only one affected. It messed with the themes and functionality of the site. Specifically on the back end. I don’t think many of you noticed much wrong with the site.

My NEW, theme caused issues. I really liked it. Then I moved to a free theme and I hated it. I changed it back to one of the original themes for the time being. Finding a new theme is a pain for me. You see it on theme site and you think, PERFECT. Then you buy it and it looks like you are holding the blog together with string and bubble gum.

I had all but given up hope in finding an affordable, clean site that I wanted. I was searching Creative Market. I set the high end for $29 and BAM. This was on one of the last pages. I bought it and it installed very easy. I like the layout, it’s going to take some tweaking but so far so good!

You may also notice a new header and logo. It ties into my company Element33. I really like it! And I created it myself in Canva. That’s another post! But I plan on being back to podcasting, reviewing apps and talking social very soon. I have some big plans!

Tim is the founder of Element33. A social media agency specializing in education, management and strategy for small businesses. He comes from a traditional marketing agency but has embraced all things digital. He considers himself a marketing nerd and believes that all marketing is tied together. This means no matter what silo you are in, social, email, seach, etc, changes in one will affect the other!
