iPhone App Review: Analtyics Pro

I recently got an iPhone and I know you are saying, “Welcome to 2007!” It has really changed my life and makes my work much easier. I never thought it would integrate so well and make me do things more easily. I consult and mange social media for small businesses and have found there are apps out there that cost under $10 that do things services online are charging $20 or more a month. I decided to start reviewing some apps I have downloaded.  The first one is Analytics Pro. I really handy app for accessing your Google Analytics accounts.

I was researching apps for a while. Then Mashable came out with 16 apps to help you promote your blog. This app was one of three analytic apps they profiled. I will say the first thing that caught my attention was color. They use various colors in graphs and through out the application that make it very easy to read. I then read some of the reviews and have determined that some of the reviews on iTunes are people ranting just to rant.  There were many posts saying that since an update happened they couldn’t log in, that it stopped working and more. I haven’t experienced any of these issues.  It has worked as promised.

I bought the app and put in my analytics account. One feature I really like is you can have more then one account tied into the plug in. Therefore, if you try to keep accounts separate then this will work great for you. I, however, have all my accounts under one log in and it’s not a big issue for me.

The app itself is very easy to navigate. I have found that its very intuitive and you can find all the info you need in a matter of seconds. The best thing about the app, well to me, is that its real time results. Where as Google Analytics is updated daily,, with Analytics Pro, you get to see up to the minute data.  I will say this is one thing that I didn’t know before buying the app.

Another strong point for the app is that you can export data in either PDF or text files. When you drill down in the reports you can click the down arrow and click the export as PDF, Text or Print. If you export the file it will open a new mail window and then you email it to yourself, client or who ever needs the info. The report it self has the same color scheme as the app and is easily read. I think they did a great job with the lay out. It’s simple and very clean.

As for down sides, so far it hasn’t had any for me, but I don’t use too many of the advanced functions yet. The advanced functions are goals and ecommerce. I am in the process of learning them, but for basic needs it far exceeded my expectations. It’s easy to use, read and gather data on the go.

This app is produced by Blackburn Apps. You can purchase the iPhone or iPad versions. I reviewed the iPhone version.

App Info:

I would say get this if you need information in real time that is easy to read while on the go. I have been very happy with the app.
