Google Analytics Just got Easier

I am all about doing stuff on the go. Checking Google analytics has been one of those things you needed a third party app to use on your iOS device. They have been good apps and give you the info you need but Google didn’t have an official app.

Back in 2011 I got my first iPhone. I immediately downloaded the Facebook, Twitter, HootSuite apps. Then I was in search for the Google Analytics app. I found one called AnalyticsPro. It was about $4.99 at the time. Which for an app was a lot back them. It is a good app and does some things the current Google App doesn’t do, like export PDF’s and more. I still have it on the iPad because the current Google app is just iPhone

This week Google finally released a free app for Analytics. Which makes sense because the Analytics service for most is free. The one thing I really like is it has live analytics and you can see if anyone is on your site. It also has traffic sources so you can see how people are finding your site.

The one thing I don’t like is the navigation. If you have more than one site on your Analytics account its strange to go back and open another account. You can to click back to the main account and back. It’s a little wonky but I hope they will make that better.

This app is great for someone needing analytics on the go. It’s free and if your Google account is set up in your phone it will be super easy to use!

You can download it directly from the app store. Its kind of hard to find but here is the direct link to the Google Analytics app in the iTunes Store.
