Facebook is helping small Businesses?

One of my biggest complaints of Facebook and Google is unless you spend ten’s of thousands of dollars you get no help with any of their products. You send in a email request in to the customer service black hole and hope what you need is answered. Many times you never know if it was received. Even worse there are times when you need a human to talk too about a ad product before you spend your money.

Well your calls for help have been answered. Yesterday Facebook announced that they are going to be live, online chat via the Facebook for Business site. Now you can open an online chat with an employee who has been trained in all the Facebook ad products. They should be able to answer any questions you have. It is rolling out for the US and Canada now and other countries through out the year.

This is a step in the right direction. I can’t tell you how many times people had issues or questions that I couldn’t answer because I wasn’t 100% sure. Now you can get it direct from Facebook. I hope they keep this up and help small businesses grow.

They are also doing seminars across the country to help small business. Go to the Facebook for Business page to see where locations are planned. There are half day seminars with Jonathan Czaja, Facebook’s Director of Small Business and Social Media expert Mari Smith. In other cities there are 2 hour Pop Up Events.

Tim is the founder of Element33. A social media agency specializing in education, management and strategy for small businesses. He comes from a traditional marketing agency but has embraced all things digital. He considers himself a marketing nerd and believes that all marketing is tied together. This means no matter what silo you are in, social, email, seach, etc, changes in one will affect the other!
