Las Vegas.com’s really Engaging Tweet

It’s no secret that I love Las Vegas.  Vegas is one of my happy places.  I mean a lot; my Instagram is pics of the city.  My dream job used to be a social media manager at a casino.  After the hit of COVID, the entire industry has changed.

In my recent e-book “50 Social Media Posts,” asking a question is one of the first I suggest. Lasvegas.com has taken this to the next level. They asked to share your birthday, and we will tell you something happening in Vegas.  First, it’s an excellent way to get engagement.  But it takes it. Step further by sharing information that could get them to book a trip to sin city

Here is part of the tweet and suggestions for things to do

I blurred the names of the people and know that some consider birth dates to help with identity theft. It compromises data.  A great way to do this would be to ask us for a date, and we will tell you what is happening in Vegas. Or ask whether you are coming and need something to do.

The security concerns aside, I love when brands do something like this for their followers.
