Pinterest a place for Video?

When you think of video content, places like YouTube, Facebook, or even Twitter come to mind. Pinterest may not be on your radar. But, Pinterest does have videos, but it’s only for brands. Meaning you have to have a brand account.

Pinterest just updated it’s video uploader to make it easier to share your content. The previous version wasn’t a bad experience, but it’s still super easy to use. They say this about the new uploader – “enables businesses and creators to seamlessly upload video directly to Pinterest to engage with new and existing audiences, and access the latest metrics. “

While the video loader was super easy to use, finding videos was not. Before you would have to create a board to showcase your videos, now, “business profiles makes it possible for brands to feature all their videos in one place for added discovery.”

If you think all this sounds good, wait! Pinterest analytics now will give you lifetime views. The analytics are similar to the analytics you get on YouTube. These analytics are an excellent addition for brands. One more great thing is you no longer need a third-party scheduler for Pinterest. The scheduler is built into business accounts.

If you haven’t thought of Pinterest for your video content, give it some thought. Unlike other social platforms, content is continuously being found.
