5 Must have Photo Apps for Small Businesses

There are 5 apps that all small business owners should have on their phone or tablet. Some I have covered before and a few more are new. Apps will help you turn ok photos into great photos. I am always trying out new apps. These focus on editing and taking pictures.

SnapSeed

SnapSeed is an all in one photo app. If I had to recommend you only have one app. This would be the one I would recommend. The app does simple things like crop, rotate and ratio. You can also, edit the photo. Increase brightness, shadows and etc. On top of that, it has effects such as HDR, Grunge and more. It’s an all in one app that I could see being $4.99 or more. This app from Google is free in both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

VSCO Cam

VSCO cam has a ton of filters. VSCO Cam is perfect for those who aren’t the best photo editors. You can select a filter that will bring out the colors of the picture. You can focus on the green of the grass, blue of the sky or color of an object in the picture. The app comes with filters. I would suggest that you purchase a few of them. They have specialty filters they sell for as low as 99 cents. Sometimes, you can get a bundle of filters for $4.99 to $9.99. VSCO Cam is available in both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Hydra

Hydra is a very interesting app. Pictures taken on a cell phone are limited. You don’t get the same quality as you do on a DSLR. However, there are times you need a higher quality picture. Either to enlarge or for print. Hydra will let you take an HDR picture, Video with HDR, Lo-Light, Zoom and Hi-Res. The feature I love the most is the Hi-Res. The app will take a series of pictures and create a 32 MP image. It’s great for taking pictures of things you can’t get close too but need a good picture. You can enlarge and crop the picture. Hydra is just on the Apple App Store for $4.99

The main pic above is one I took on a flight on SouthWest. It allows you to zoom in on the winglet.

ProCam

ProCam is an app that allows you to have manual control over the camera. You can set the ISO, exposure and more. If you aren’t familiar with these features. I would suggest that you may avoid this app. If you know a bit more photography this will be very handy. The auto features in the camera can sometimes not go as planned. You can adjust the image just how you want it. ProCam is the Apple App Store for $4.99

Microsoft Pix

Microsoft Pix is the opposite of ProCam. This app does everything for you.  When you take a picture, it will use its auto settings to create the best picture. It’s pretty much push the button and you’re done.It does a really good job at taking pictures. It also will edit photos you have taken. It has a crop and effects options. Microsoft has done a great job at this app. Available on the Apple App Store for free.
