Running Social Media on the Go

SOCIAL MEDIA-3This week I am traveling and won’t be sitting in front of my computer. As I have told friends many times that I could run my business on my phone. You maybe asking how can I do this? I do this with the help of many apps!  I can’t rely on just one, I have a few apps that are priceless for me while on the go.

The apps I use are:

Hootsuite – This app is a is not as robust as the desktop app. The desktop app will let you post to many more social networks. It’s just limited to LinkedIn and Google+ Pages. Supported networks are Twitter, Facebook pages, Personal LinkedIn and Instagram. The best part you can schedule posts on all those networks. You could use this for most of your social needs on the go!

Twitter – As I have said last week I enjoy the Twitter app. Many of the features of Twitter you can only get when you post on the app. Its also easier for me to follow conversations in the app. The downside is there is no scheduling in the app.

Facebook Pages – Sure you could use Hootuite for posts but the app lets you do messaging. It also lets you interact with fans way easier than anything else on the market. Plus you can get basic insights on the go to see how well you are doing with post.

Instagram – There is no way around it, if you want to post to Instagram you need the app. I run it both on my phone and tablet. Now with Hootsuite integration it will make it super easy to do on the go!

Snapseed – Snapseed has the easiest on the go simple edits. Simple crops, rotation and effects. It is one of the best apps ever. Plus it’s completely free!

WordSwag – This is my all time must have app. It enables me to use it to create graphics on the go. The best thing is you don’t need an internet connection. If you are stuck somewhere without service you can still use the app and post the art later.

iMovie – I shoot video sometimes and want to do a quick edit of a video. I break out the phone and edit. Vacation videos are so easy to do. This app has all the simple editing and effects of the desk top app. It allows you to make a video in minutes!

VSCO Cam – If you want to spend some money on an app for some great effects, VSCO Cam is the perfect app. Its from Visual Supply Company and has a ton of filters. I hear some of you rolling your eyes. But this is the king of filters. If you use on iPad you can see a live preview of the filter. It can take an ok picture and make it amazing.

PicFrame – Creating a collage is still big in the world of social. PicFrame has tons of frames that you can choose from and put in pictures from your device. Easy to do on the go. Can be made in the matter of seconds.

These are just a few of the apps I use on the go. If you use any more let me know what you use while traveling and away from your computer.

NOTE: I am traveling this week so I won’t have a full week of posts. I have three set and will be back to 5 of them next week!
