Gmail goes Visual for Promotions

Field_TrialAre you like me and email at times is a chore? I use Gmail for all my “email Marketing” or as most people call it junk emails! You know when you have to sign up for a newsletter, e-commerce account and etc. The only problem is after you sign up, how many of us actually go back and read emails. With the addition of the “Promotions” tab I rarely go in there. That mean’s the email I want to see is in my in box. Its SCARY how well Google does at times knowing what we can to see.

Now Google is going to change the way we do email. This is just a field text and not rolling out to the masses yet. But they are taking a visual approach to show you the main image in the message. So think Pinterest for email.

I really love this idea. Because you can scan through the pics and see it quicker than reading headlines. So the pictures will be way more important then headlines. Which I think is a good thing! This could turn the world of email marketing on hit head! If you want to find out how to sign up for the field test, go to the Official Gmail Blog post.
